Wills & Kate
I came down with a small case of royal wedding fever last night. I made the royal groom's cake and Jenny made some really great paper goods and we had a mini party.
First Kiss!
Even google has the fever!

Workshop(ed)
Tom Douglas is a bit of a Seattle icon. He has a bazillion restaurants (the ones I've tried have been pretty tasty). I hit his newest, Dahlia Workshop for a working breakfast. Lo and behold the man himself was there (and even answered a question I asked the checkout girl). Witness creepy stalker picture below of him in front of the menu board. My fried green tomato and bacon biscuit was delicious.

Bulk-Up
I have a weird fear/loathing of grocery stores. I get lost. I wander aimlessly. I lose hope, etc. So when a friend suggested we hit WinCo, I wasn't that thrilled. But, I ended up thinking that it was so amazingly cool looking. Plus, any store that touts Fruit Rolls, Pig Ears, and Dog Bisuits in the same breath is just plain rad. Wanted to take more pix, but an employee in bulk foods busted me and said "we don't take pictures at WinCo". We don't?!

Christmas Ships
In December ships deck themselves out with lights, and cruise Lake Washington. The mother ship has a choir and a loud speaker on it. They stop at a different point each night, and serenade people on the shore.

Snow Day!
Today is my first ever official snow day (School has been canceled!). A few things I think are cute and cozy for inclement weather.
This Hood
Kate Spade Mittens
Boots!
Puffy Coat
Any winter favorites of yours?

Green Thumb
After being inspired by the cabbage incorporated into the bouquet below, I feel like I've finally become officially a Pacific North Westerner. Why? I've planted cabbages and kale on my front porch (they're ornamental varieties, sadly not for eating). Even the temple here has them in the landscaping.
*special thanks to Shalann for helping me out with this project

$5 Flowers of the Year
I love the idea of having fresh flowers in my office-- but it's not all that practical. So, I dried out some billy buttons and put this in my heath ceramic bud vase. Voila-- permanent office flowers that are cheery and remind me of SF.
