Certain patterns have begun to emerge

Moving always makes me sorta regret everything I own. Even the stuff I love:

AllSaint's

AllSaints Spitalfields just opened in down town Seattle. I've been watching the store go up for a while. I was attracted by the hundreds of vintage sewing machines they used to decorate it. Very cool. The clothes are pretty great, but pricey. I especially liked the men's lines-- very classic with great modern details. The women's lines are VERY drapey. They'll look great on thin figures, but might take some trickery to look good on any kind of curves. One friend described the overall look as high-end Mad Max. I think it fits. I did manage to snap some pix before an aggressive sales person banished me.

Foxy!

Oh my! I can't get over how cute this coat for a kid is. The details and craftsmanship look amazing. Is it bad to have a baby just so you can dress them up?

Obsessive

Over the last few years I obsessively collected this line of vintage Samsonite suitcases (blue tweed with several sparkle) from thrift stores, ebay, and flea markets. I'm using them to store art supplies. This is an ingenious use-- I may have to convert a few.

Glam?

Today is my first day of real Seattle rain. Trying to decide what coats/boots/umbrellas I'm going to need. I probably won't go the glam route but...

Perfect

I love how all these supplies look together.

Wrap it Up

I used to think I wasn't a scarf person, but ones like this by Martin Lemothe make me seriously reconsider. Pricey, but beautiful-- if you can find an economical version, I'll send you a prize.

Beginning to Feel

A lot like Autumn.. which in my book means Hot Chocolate Season. This mug and saucer are perfect for a warm cup of chocolate and a little treat.

Seeing The Light

Even though I pretty much hate the guts of American Apparel, I have to say that this is pretty great. Vintage sunglasses-- souped up, ready to go. Buy online or at their stores. One of a kind and very very pretty.

WWAW?

What would Audrey (as in Hepburn) wear? I think a lot of things from Beklina's fall line. Especially any of these dresses:

Is it wrong

To want to buy these because I love the rainbow colors? They just look so darn pretty all in a line.

Back to School

Man, this jacket from anthropologie is so cute. Love the plaid, the shape, the built in scarf.

Dark Crystals

I love the sci-fi meets hippy vibe of this agate and silver necklace. Very cool fusion of modern with earthy. And green! Pair it with some jeans and basic white shirt of your choice, and I'm pretty sure you can have the nerd of your choice.

Tap Tap Tap

I will not be buying this beauty. And thus my fingers will NOT be making those happy noises on the keyboard. She really is a fine looking machine, eh?

Killing it Softly

A trend I've yet to embrace.. frankly I think I look dumb in scarves.. but they're already predicting the death of this one ?? I mean wearing a Keffiyah is edgy, but very safe in the US. Infitada concerns aside, I'm pretty sure it's gotta little life in it yet. Buy them here.
p.s... after I wrote this, but pre-posting I had a chance to see Thom Yorke of Radiohead rocking one of these. Clearly not dead yet.p.p.s. I was just at Long's Drugs where they are selling Keffiyeh-esque scarves for $9.99.

Devil in the details.

I almost bought everything in Richard Chai's line. But then remembered I'm shopping less and have no moola (which is probably why this is turning into a fantasy shopping blog). I love the scrunchy collars.

Shop Free

I've vowed to not buy any clothes month. If I wasn't feeling ascetic, and money was no object, I think this would be a swank outfit for the 4th.

p.s. Click on the picture and it will take you to polyvore, which has the deets on where to buy everything
